iPad sketches

Two posts in one day... and in the span of two days? The world must be upside down. Or it could be that I'm just trying to reaffirm my commitment to creating things and posting again.

Went to the first life drawing session of the year tonight. Took Cetus (my iPad) along, with a plethora of other materials. I've not given myself the chance to draw much on the iPad so that took most of my attention and time... when I was not taking/editing photos (that I was apparently not supposed to take, unbeknownst to me till AFTER the session - oops!!!).

There's this really neat app called Procreate, and I think I kind of love it. Has a nice textured feel to some of the brushes and the interface seems far more intuitive than other apps I've used. So I'll swing with that one for a while and see if I can't come up with anything better than this. Not only am I out of practice, I was completely out of my comfort zone, gah! These are the umm... "better" results from the session.

Hey Amanda, it Phil here, from the old sketchgroup of Murry's. Where do you go to life drawing? I normally go to the one in South Brisbane on Tuesday nights, but it had to stop temporarily, and this has not been too good for my skillz! lol Also might look for a new group that has better lighting. Anyway, hope you're well ;-)

Hey! Is sketch group still going? I'd love to get back some time but Saturday mornings just get so busy these days

Regarding life drawing sessions, I go to the Wednesday night sessions in West End: http://graceartevents.com/

Costume theme and nudes alternate each week it's good. When unistarts up again the animators will probably get a weekly session going again too at QCA. Not sure of those details though. Keep an eye on the Hive or QCA animators Facebook pages I guess.

Thanks for the info! As for sketchgroup on Saturdays, not really sure. I think so. Just ask Muz. I haven't been to one in a while...
