Weekly Roundup - 19/06/15

Even though it's not much, I've had a more productive week... it wasn't so long ago where I hardly picked up my pencils or stylus. Being sick and house-bound has forced me to do something other than sleep, eat and binge on Netflix. I'm liking the way things went! And in spite of things being on the up, I'm hoping it continues...

Really having a hard time finishing this... but I'm determined!

I did manage to get out for a bit... to the library only because I couldn't stand being stuck in the house any longer. Good opportunity to draw some folks. I'm so out of practice!

Keeping a food diary is something I find helpful and therapeutic. This kind of embellishment can't happen all the time, but it's fun when you need an excuse to draw something but don't know what. Even with the visual food stereotypes (our bacon really does not look like that!).

14062015

Resurrecting this blog. I'm feeling the desire to create more and more these days and miss my old career. Not sure if anyone happens to still be watching (please comment and say hey if you are!) but I'm just going to keep on keeping on anyway. Mostly process work here.

This week I will just be focusing on studies and keeping a routine for art. I'm back to reading Bridgeman again and drawing random portraits from the Sktchy app. Because perfectionism was part of what killed my passion in the first place, I no longer choose to care how "good or bad" my work is and am just enjoying the process. Take it or leave it!

Kung Fu Family

I saw this on my walk this afternoon. A whole family in uniform on their way to Karate class. All of them wearing yellow belts even. It was so darn CUTE! The image stuck in my head, so I had to doodle it.

Goes Without Saying

It was only supposed to be a sketch.
Inspired by the couple in this music video.

Girl Test

Please forgive the sub-par animation/colour application. I was trying to test out workflow in TVP to see if it was feasible for a project I'm working on. Tight deadline needs streamlined process. I'm not sure still, but can't let this go completely to waste, so thought I'd put it up.

I still think I work best in the rough stage of this... cleanup is my nemesis :\
